I am a Mom of two young children and read a lot of research during my pregnancies that showed great benefits to having a doula for labour support. Of course I wanted to do everything I could to improve the experience for my growing family, so I hired a doula for both of my births. Both ladies helped my partner and I immensely as we navigated the challenges of the two very different, but ultimately very positive and empowering births.

 After these experiences, I felt passionately that all mothers-to-be should be able to have the continuous labour support that a birth doula provides. I have also been fascinated with everything to do with pregnancy and labour ever since. I decided that I would become a birth doula so that I could share my passion and help mothers and new families as I had also been helped.
